Volunteering

You might think volunteer work is a waste of time or is for people who are rich and bored, right? Wrong! Volunteering is a great way for anyone to build their skills, help their community and have fun.

It can also help you get into college. Colleges look for students who participate in extra-curricular activities, including volunteerism. Volunteering shows that you are community minded and will give you and advantage over other applicants who have not volunteered. If you are looking for a job, volunteering can give you valuable experience to help you build your resume.
